Program Information
Media students will embark on a 3-year CTE Pathway, with classes beginning their sophomore year. Students will gain knowledge of industry practices and professional expectations working with studio lighting, producing videos, editing images, creating digital illustrations, and graphic design. Students will take advantage of our on-campus production studio and gain knowledge and skills using industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects. In their final year, students will select areas of concentration within media production and digital design with the intent of producing a portfolio of work showcasing their refined skills, creativity, and thinking.
Students can apply to join a Rosemont specialty program as early as their 8th grade year to secure a placement, if space is available. Students starting at Rosemont in their 9th grade year will first join one of our four freshmen houses. Upon beginning in their sophomore year, student will then join their selected specialty program.

Students residing within the SCUSD boundaries can submit an online application from November 4, 2024 at 8:00am, to November 22, 2024 at 5:00pm. Students living outside the SCUSD boundaries can apply through the permit process from April 7, 2025 at 8:00am, to April 25, 2025 at 5:00pm.
