ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA - SCUSD is aware that the ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Teachers’ Association (SCTA) filed an Unfair Practice Charge with the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) alleging bad faith bargaining and interference with SCTA’s rights.  The District denies the allegations made in the complaint and will respond to the charge.

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA - An investigation into racist graffiti and social media activity at West Campus High School in November 2021 is now complete and a report has been issued.  The ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District immediately retained a neutral outside investigator who spent six months looking into the complaints about West Campus.  This investigation was separate from the ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ Police Department’s criminal investigation of the matter.

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA - The ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District has received notification that Dr. Elysse Versher intends to resign from her position as Vice Principal at West Campus High.

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA - The ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District has ended its employment relationship with a teacher who used racist language in a classroom at Kit Carson International Academy last June. The district quickly removed the teacher from the classroom following the incident, and the teacher was placed on administrative leave during an investigation about the matter.
