ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA â€“ Jorge A. Aguilar, Superintendent of ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District School, provided the following update on negotiations with SCTA and SEIU to District families and staff:

Dear SCUSD Families:

You may have already learned that the ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Teachers Association (SCTA) and SEIU Local 1021 announced a planned strike to begin on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. We will keep you informed as we attempt to reach an agreement with our labor partners to avert a strike.

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA â€“ The ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District School Board today issued the following statement:

“We are united in service to our students of this district, and are committed to keeping our students in school. We are doing our best to serve honorably and make decisions that are in the interests of all our children and families, and do right by our staff as well. 

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA â€“ The following letter was sent from ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District to District families about a new information resource on the status of negotiations with the ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Teachers Association (SCTA) and Service Employees International Union 1021 (SEIU).

 

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA â€“ We care deeply about all of our district’s students and staff. We appreciate the hard work and dedication staff have demonstrated during these difficult years impacted by the pandemic, and their ongoing commitment to our students.

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA â€“ ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District Superintendent Jorge A. Aguilar issued the following statement in response to strike authorization votes by the ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Teachers Association (SCTA) and the Service Employees International Union Local 1021 (SEIU):

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA â€“ ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District is sharing the following letter from  Superintendent Jorge A. Aguilar which was sent to all SCUSD staff this evening in response to questions and concerns about a possible strike in our district:

Dear colleagues,

ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ, CA - Two individuals responsible for vandalizing Lincoln Elementary School with disturbing racist graffiti have been identified. The individuals are minor students in the ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ City Unified School District. As such, appropriate disciplinary action is being taken by the district.
